If your protected FTP site has disabled anonymous authentication and you do not want to use the login script described in Using an FTP Login Script, you can disable connection checking by the deep check process.

There are two methods for disabling connection checking:

  • When creating an IIS resource, set the Connection Check option to Disabled.
  • To change this setting for an existing IIS Site resource, right-click the resource in the resource tree and select Edit Properties. Change Connection Check from Enabled to Disabled, and then click Execute.

Because connection checking is performed by the deep check process, disabling the deep check process achieves the same result. To disable the deep check process, follow the steps described in the following section: Modifying Quick Check Interval, Deep Check Interval and Local Recovery to change the deep check interval to 0.
