The LifeKeeper REST API and LifeKeeper Web Management Console services are started and enabled when LifeKeeper is installed. Because the services are enabled, they will be automatically restarted when the server reboots.

You can stop and start the following services using the the Windows Task Manager or the Services MMC snap-in (services.msc). You can also disable the automatic startup when rebooting the system, and restart/enable the stopped/disabled service.

  • LifeKeeper REST API
  • LifeKeeper Web Management Console

Some configuration changes (e.g., modifying the GUI server port or the REST API server port) may also require the services to be restarted, which can also be accomplished with the Services MMC snap-in:
