Protecting FTP Sites with Non-Anonymous Login

The LifeKeeper for Windows deep check process monitors protected FTP sites. By default, this process attempts to connect to the target FTP site using an anonymous login.

If anonymous login is disabled on the protected FTP site, the default deep check operation fails.

In this case, enable Basic Authentication in IIS Manager and configure LKWMC as described in the following steps.

1. In the LKWMC Resource Tree screen, right-click the IIS Site resource.
2. Click Edit Properties.
3. In the URL field, enter the following value:
   ftp://<user name>:<password>@<site IP>
4. Click Execute.
