Best Practices for Handling Operating System Upgrades with LifeKeeper

!Rolling upgrades are NOT supported when upgrading your operating system (e.g., from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022). Attempting a rolling upgrade without proper preparation can lead to system instability and unexpected behavior.

To ensure a smooth transition, you must remove LifeKeeper/DataKeeper from your Windows Server platform before performing the upgrade to a newer Windows Operating System

*Note: After completing the operating system upgrade and reboot, make sure to manually delete the C:\LK and C:\Program Files (x86)\SIOS\DataKeeper directories to avoid conflicts during reinstallation or future use.
