A manual switchover is performed in the following order:

  1. From the Resource Tree screen, click Operations and select In Service.
  2. Select the backup server and the IIS Site resource to bring in service, and then click Confirm.
  3. After confirming that the entered information is correct, click In Service.
  4. The service start request is executed and the execution log and results are displayed. Click Close to complete the manual switchover.

LifeKeeper for Windows moves switchable IP addresses, volumes, and IIS Web/FTP sites to the node that is In Service. Perform this operation to return resource operation to the primary server after it has been repaired following a failover.

Requesting a service stop on an active IIS Site resource hierarchy on the primary server takes the resource out of service only; it does not bring the IIS Site resource hierarchy into service on the backup server.
