Sysprep is a Windows OS feature that removes server-specific information from a Windows environment, making it possible to install the environment on other servers. By using this feature, you can efficiently create multiple environments by setting up one server environment and cloning its image to other servers. The template image for cloning is known as a ‘Golden Image’.

Please note that while a server cloned using Sysprep inherits the files, registry entries, Windows roles, and installed software from the template server. It does not inherit system-specific information such as security identifiers (SIDs), computer names, and IP addresses.
