SYMPTOM:
Identical IIS sites exist on both the primary server and the backup server, but the sites do not appear in the Site Name list in the Create Resource Hierarchy dialog.
SOLUTION:
- Verify that the same optional parameters are specified on both servers and that their values match exactly, including letter case.
- Ensure that each site has a valid site name for LifeKeeper for Windows. Site names must contain only alphanumeric characters and dashes.
- To change the site name of a protected IIS Site resource, delete the IIS Site resource, update the site name, and then recreate the resource.
SYMPTOM:
When attempting to access the FTP site, the following error message is displayed:
“User x cannot login, home directory inaccessible”.
SOLUTION:
To allow users to log on to an FTP site using anonymous authentication, grant the IUSR (Internet Guest Account) user account permission to log on.
SYMPTOM:
When configuring IIS Web, FTP, or SMTP bindings in Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, the switchable IP address does not appear in the IP address dropdown list.
SOLUTION:
Manually enter the switchable IP address.
