If your environment includes a protected database application such as SQL Server, you should install the application using the documentation provided with the database. Ensure that the database is on a shared or replicated file system and that the configuration files are on a shared or replicated file system. The executables may either be on each local or a shared file system. Refer to LifeKeeper for Windows Microsoft SQL Server Recovery Kit Technical Documentation for additional installation and setup considerations regarding SQL Server.

Although it is possible to install your application after LifeKeeper for Windows is installed, you should test the application to ensure it is configured and operating properly before placing it under LifeKeeper for Windows protection.
