In order to respond to the health probe with a private IP address for each of the active and standby nodes, change the Oracle listener configurations so that it waits for connections at any IP address. Set the Listen address of the Oracle listener to 0.0.0.0.

Stopping the Oracle Resource Hierarchy (Active)

  1. Log in to the Windows OS of the active node (SIOS20lknode01) with SIOS20\kadmin.
  2. Launch the LifeKeeper GUI and log in with SIOS20\frkadmin.
  3. Right-click the ORCL resource of the active node (sios20lknode01) and select Out of Service.

  1. The following screen will appear. Make sure that the ORACLE resource status is displayed as Standby and the disk resource status as Active.

Oracle Listener Configurations (Active)

Change the configuration of the Oracle Listener.

  1. Log in to the Windows OS of the active node (sios20lknode01) with sios20\frkadmin.
  2. Select Start > Oracle-OraDB19Home1 > Net Manager.
  3. With Listeners/ORCL selected in the left pane, select Listening Locations in the list box at the top right.

  1. Change the Host to 0.0.0.0. Check that the following values are configured.
Net Manager Listeners / ORCL
Protocol TCP/IP
Host 0.0.0.0
*
Port 1521

* Change this value only.

  1. Select File > Save Network Configuration to save the configuration.

Starting the Oracle Resource Hierarchy (Active Node)

  1. Log in to the Windows OS of the active node (SIOS20lknode01) with SIOS20\kadmin.
  2. Launch the LifeKeeper GUI and log in with SIOS20\frkadmin.
  3. Right-click the ORCL resource of the active node (sios20lknode01) and select In Service.

  1. The following screen will be displayed.
