① [Select Server and Recovery Kit]

| Server | Select the server on which to start HULFT (this is usually called the primary server). All servers in the cluster will appear in the drop-down list. |
| Application Recovery Kit | The drop-down menu displays all installed Recovery Kits. Select “HULFT” to create a HULFT resource. |

| HULFT Windows Service | Specify the HULFT Windows service to be protected by the resource being created. The service name configured during HULFT installation appears as a drop-down option, or it can be entered manually. An error appears if the entered Windows service name does not exist. |
| HULEXEP Path | Enter the folder path where the target HULFT is installed. An error appears if the entered path does not exist as a folder. <Auto-complete Feature> Once a valid service name is entered and confirmed in HULFT Windows Service , the folder path where the target HULFT is installed is automatically populated. |
| HULPATH Path | Enter the HULPATH folder path specified when the target HULFT was installed. An error appears if the entered path does not exist as a folder. <Auto-complete Feature> Once a valid path is entered and confirmed in HULEXEP Path , the HULPATH information extracted from the target HULFT environment settings file is automatically populated as the default value. |
| Volume Resource | Select the volume resource with which you want to create a dependency for the HULFT resource. If you select “None,” no dependency is created. Select “None” if you do not need to protect the volume with LifeKeeper Single Server Protection. <Auto-complete Feature> Once a valid path is entered and confirmed in HULPATH Path , the volume resource protecting the volume that contains the folder specified in HULPATH Path is automatically selected. |
| IP Address Resource | Select the IP address resource with which you want to create a dependency for the HULFT resource. If you select “None,” no dependency is created. Select “None” if you do not need to protect the volume with LifeKeeper Single Server Protection. <Auto-complete Feature> Once a valid path is entered and confirmed in HULPATH Path , the IP address resource that matches the IP address (or hostname) information extracted from the target HULFT environment settings file is automatically selected. |
③ [Additional Settings]
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| HULFT Resource Tag | Enter the resource tag name. By default, “hulft” is populated in this field. Change this tag name as needed. (If a duplicate tag exists, a hyphen and a sequential number are appended to the end, such as “-1”.) |
| Switchback type | Specify how the HULFT resource hierarchy is switched back to this server when it recovers after a failover to a standby server. Select either INTELLIGENT or AUTOMATIC. For details, refer to Intelligent Versus Automatic Switchback. |
④ [Confirm]
The information entered or selected on the ① [Select Server and Recovery Kit] , ② [Required Settings] , and ③ [Additional Settings] pages is displayed.
This information cannot be modified.
⑤ [Result]
The resource hierarchy creation process begins, and the progress information and results are displayed.
