Managing the HULFT Resource Hierarchy

This section explains how to manage HULFT resources using the Recovery Kit for HULFT.

Process for Creating and Extending the HULFT Resource Hierarchy

To create a HULFT resource hierarchy, follow the steps below.

1. Create a volume resource hierarchy and an IP address resource hierarchy to be assigned to the HULFT instance to be protected.
2. Install HULFT so that the HULPATH folder is created within the volume of the created volume resource.
3. Configure HULFT to assign the virtual IP protected by the IP address resource hierarchy.
4. Create and extend the HULFT resource.
