    • Generic Application
    • IP Address

Known Issues

Description
Unexpected “-e” strings may appear in some LifeKeeper warning/error messages on Ubuntu.

These “-e” strings do not cause any functional issues and can be safely ignored.
When generating a support archive via /opt/LifeKeeper/bin/lksupport on Ubuntu:

  • The lkwmc.txt file does not contain the correct versions of the installed steeleye-lkrestapi and steeleye-lkwmc packages. The versions of these installed packages can be obtained from the pkginfo.LK.txt file instead.

  • The pkginfo.err.txt file contains unexpected error messages. These error messages can be safely ignored.
If the LifeKeeper for Linux setup script is run again after initial installation on Ubuntu, a warning message of the form will be shown:

“The following files have been modified and will be overwritten during the installation process. If you wish to keep these changes please back them up before continuing:
/opt/LifeKeeper/config/flg
/opt/LifeKeeper/config/flg
/opt/LifeKeeper/config/lkGUIapp.desktop
/opt/LifeKeeper/config/lkGUIapp.kdelnk
/opt/LifeKeeper/config/lkGUIapp.desktop
/opt/LifeKeeper/config/lkGUIapp.kdelnk”

This warning message can be safely ignored.
