How to Install a License

Video : How to install a license

Perform the following steps on each node of the cluster.

1. Install your license.
   

   /opt/LifeKeeper/bin/lkkeyins <path to license file>

2. Start LifeKeeper.
   Check the license information to make sure it is registered correctly.
   If you are using a permanent license, all license information should be UNLICENSED or PERMANENT.
   

   /opt/LifeKeeper/bin/typ_list -l

   1. UNLICENSED
      The Core Application license is used.
   2. EVAL
      The evaluation license is used.
   3. PERMANENT
      The optional Recovery Kit license is used.
   4. NEEDED
      The optional Recovery Kit license is not used.
