Bringing a DRBD resource in service will “up” the resource on all servers and set the in-service server to “primary”. Data synchronization will begin as soon as the servers are brought “up” and connections are established by DRBD.
- There are 3 ways to begin:
- Right-click on an out of service resource in the right pane on the LifeKeeper GUI and select In Service beginning with step 2.
- Select Edit > Resource >In Service or right-click on the resource in the left pane on the LifeKeeper GUI and select In Service.
- The Server dialog will appear.
Select the name of the server where the DRBD resource exists and you want to bring it in-service. All servers in your cluster are included in the dropdown list box.
Click Next to continue.
ii. The In Service dialog will appear if selected from the Edit menu.
Select the name of the root tag on the target server you wish to bring in-service. All root tags configured on the target server that are not in-service are included in the selection box.
Click Next to continue with step 2.
- Confirmation information box will appear.
Select In Service to bring the hierarchy in-service on the selected server.
- Another information box will appear confirming that the DRBD resource is successfully in-service.
Select Done.
