The configuration file must be modified before creating the Listener resource since the Listener is being accessed by the virtual IP address.
On the cluster node (primary), configure the following settings.
- Modify $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora.
- Modify $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora.
- Create a password file to be used for login via the Listener. Refer to the official Oracle documentation for the format of the password file.
- Check the connection to the database via the Listener.
