Updating the Oracle Listener Recovery Level

Select the level of recovery for the specified listener(s).

Standard (On_ – enables a standard LifeKeeper recovery. If Standard, (On) is selected, all listener failures will be tried locally and if necessary trigger a fail over to an available backup server.

Optional (Off) – enables optional LifeKeeper recovery. If Optional (Off) is selected, all listener failures will be tried locally, but will not cause a fail over to an available backup server.

Note: Local recovery is performed for both recovery levels when a listener error occurs; however, execution of failover depends on the recovery level.

Select the Update button to change the Recovery Level from the current state to the new state.

Select Cancel to leave the current value unchanged.
