The most secure method for using Internet Explorer is to add the LifeKeeper server to the Trusted Sites zone as follows:
- From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Select Trusted Sites zone and click Custom Level.
- Under Reset custom settings, select Medium/Low, then click Reset.
- Click Sites.
- Enter the server name and port number for the LifeKeeper server(s) to which you wish to connect (for instance: http://server1:81).
An alternative, but possibly less secure method, is to do the following:
- From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Select either Internet or Local Intranet (depending upon whether your remote system and the LifeKeeper cluster are on the same intranet).
- Adjust the Security Level bar to Medium (for Internet) or Medium-low (for Local Intranet). These are the default settings for each zone.
- Click OK.
