LifeKeeper Product Requirements
LifeKeeper for Linux is supported on any Linux platform that satisfies the minimum requirements included in the Linux Configuration Table. Also refer to the LifeKeeper Certification Information for supported operating systems, applications and virtualization.
| Description | Requirement |
|---|---|
| CPU Architecture | x86_64 |
| Linux Operating System | See the Linux Configuration Table for specific operating system information. |
| Virtual Environments | The guest operating system running on the virtual machine must be one of the supported versions listed in the Linux Configuration Table. Please refer to Supported Virtualization or Supported Cloud Platforms for detailed versions of supported virtualization environments or supported cloud platforms. |
| Memory | The system’s minimum memory requirements should be sized so that there is enough free space even when all applications running on the system are under the maximum load expected in addition to satisfying the minimum requirements required by the OS. Memory exhaustion may cause the system to slow down, and LifeKeeper may determine this slowdown as a system failure. |
| Disk Space | The LifeKeeper Package Cluster requires the following disk space: /opt – approx 200MB ~ 1.5GB (*1) / – approx 200MB (*2) *1 The total size of files expanded after installation. This also depends on the kit selected during installation. *2 The total file size after installing packages required to run LifeKeeper. Protected applications and the disk space they require are not included. Based on the above information, please ensure there is enough disk space. |
When using the old UI, Java Runtime Environment: OpenJDK 1.8, OpenJDK 1.10, OpenJDK 1.11, OpenJDK 1.12 is required.
LifeKeeper Optional Recovery Software Requirements
See the Applications table of the Certification Information for the software requirements for the optional LifeKeeper recovery software.
Storage and Adapter Options
For a list of the disk array storage models and adapters currently supported by LifeKeeper in shared storage configurations as well as their type of certification, see the Storage and Adapter Options topic. Details about driver versions and other configuration requirements for these arrays and adapters are listed in the Storage and Adapter Configuration topic.
