Unextending a JP1/AJS Resource Hierarchy

*Note: This feature is not available with LifeKeeper Single Server Protection

The procedure for unextending the JP1/AJS resource hierarchy extended with LKWMC is as follows:

*Note: The following procedure unextends the target JP1/AJS resource and all dependent child resource hierarchies. If there are child resource hierarchies that you need to keep extended, you must delete their dependency with the JP1/AJS resource before unextending it. Perform this action as required.

1. Select Resource > Resource Tree from the left pane menu to open the Resource Tree screen.
2. Display the Unextend Resource Hierarchy dialog using one of the following methods.
   1. Select Unextend Resource Hierarchy from the Operations dropdown at the top of the screen. (proceed to step 3)
   2. Select Unextend Resource Hierarchy from the context menu of the JP1/AJS resource displayed in the resource tree. However, the menu is only enabled in the Resource Hierarchies column or the Passive Server column. (If the passive server can be uniquely specified, proceed to step 4. If it cannot be uniquely specified, proceed to step 3.)
3. The [Select] page is displayed.
   1. Select the server you wish to unextend from Server. Note that the JP1/AJS resources you wish to unextend must be Passive on the selected server.
   2. Select the JP1/AJS resource you wish to unextend in the Resource Hierarchy. Note that resources will not appear in the selection unless they are in a Passive state on the server selected in Server.
   3. Click CONFIRM.
4. The [Confirm] page appears. The information you entered or selected will be displayed. If the information is correct, click UNEXTEND.
5. Proceed to the [Execute] page. The progress of the Unextension process will be displayed. Wait for the Unextension process to complete.
6. You will be redirected to the [Result] page. The processing results will be displayed on the screen.
7. Click CLOSE to close the Unextend Resource Hierarchy dialog.
