Managing JP1/AJS Resource Hierarchy

This section explains how to manage JP1/AJS resources using the Recovery Kit for JP1/AJS. The protection procedures for JP1/AJS3 – Manager and JP1/AJS3 – Agent are the same. Since JP1/Base is a prerequisite for JP1/AJS3, you must protect JP1/Base regardless of which component is being protected.

JP1/AJS Resource Hierarchy Creation and Extension Steps

When creating a JP1/AJS resource hierarchy, follow the steps below.

1. Create a File System Resource hierarchy and an IP Address resource hierarchy corresponding to the logical host.
2. Set up JP1 so that its shared files are located within the File System of the created File System Resource, and then start JP1.
3. Create and extend JP1/Base resources.
4. Create and extend a JP1/AJS3-Manager resource or a JP1/AJS3-Agent resource.
