This section describes the setup procedure for protecting JP1/AJS with LifeKeeper.
Preparation
You must configure the LifeKeeper cluster and create the following resources for the JP1 logical host to operate.
| Required resources | Description |
|---|---|
| File System Resource | Protects the settings and data storage locations used by the event server. |
| IP Address Resource | Protects the virtual IP address assigned to the JP1 logical host. |
After creation, make it Active on the primary server.
Installing JP1
The components installed for JP1/AJS3 – Manager and JP1/AJS3 – Agent differ. Please refer to the JP1 manual for installation instructions.
Please install JP1 on the local disk of both the primary server and the standby server.
Setting up JP1
A physical host environment and logical host environment must be set up to run JP1 on a LifeKeeper cluster system. Specify a hostname associated with the IP address protected by the IP Address resource for the logical host. Specify that the shared file must be located within a file system protected by a File System resource. Refer to the JP1 manual for detailed procedures.
