The procedure for creating a JP1/AJS Resource Hierarchy with LKWMC is as follows:
- Select Resource > Resource Tree from the left pane menu to display the Resource Tree screen..
- Select Create Resource Hierarchy from the Operations dropdown at the top of the screen to display the Create Resource Hierarchy dialog.
- Navigate through the pages ① [Select Server and Recovery Kit] > ② [Required Settings] > ③ [Additional Settings] > ④ [Confirm] > ⑤ [Result], enter the parameters, and proceed to creating resources. The descriptions of the input items on each page are as follows.
When creating a JP1/Base resource
① [Select Server and Recovery Kit]

| Server | Select the server on which to launch JP1 software (typically referred to as Primary Server). All servers in the cluster will appear in the dropdown list. |
| Application Recovery Kit | The dropdown displays all installed Recovery Kits. To create JP1/AJS resources, select “JP1/AJS”. |

| Logical Host name | When you select JP1/Base for JP1 Component, it will appear in the dropdown. Select the logical host you want to associate. | Switchback Type | Specify the mode for restoring the JP1/AJS resource hierarchy to this server when it returns to service following a failover to the standby server. You can select either INTELLIGENT or AUTOMATIC. For details, see Intelligent Versus Automatic Switchback . |
| IP Address Resource | The IP Address resource is initially selected to protect the IP address associated with the logical host. Select the IP Address resource associated with the logical host. When the IP Address resource is selected, a dependency is created with the JP1/Base resource. If you select “None”, no dependencies will be created. Select “None” if you do not need to protect the IP Address with LifeKeeper Single Server Protection. |
| File System Resource | The File System Resource protecting the shared file associated with the logical host is initially selected. Select the File System Resource you wish to associate. When selecting the File System Resource, dependencies are created after the JP1/Base resource is created. If you select “None”, no dependencies will be created. Select “None” if you do not need to protect the File System with LifeKeeper Single Server Protection. |
④ [Confirm]
The information entered or selected on the ① [Select Server and Recovery Kit], ② [Required Settings], and ③ [Additional Settings] pages will be displayed.
This information cannot be modified.
⑤ [Result]
The creation of the resource hierarchy will begin, and the progress and results of the creation process will be output.
When creating a JP1/AJS3-Manager Resource, JP1/AJS3-Agent Resource
① [Select Server and Recovery Kit]
