LifeKeeper for Linux v10.0.0 now includes the web application “LifeKeeper Web Management Console (LKWMC)” as its default GUI.
For usage and operation of LKWMC, please refer to the LifeKeeper Web Management Console documentation.
The JavaGUI will remain available for some time, so this documentation will continue to include explanations using the JavaGUI. Please be aware of this in advance.

The following features are no longer supported in LifeKeeper for Linux v10.0.0.

  • TTY communication path is no longer supported.
  • Quorum/Witness tcp_remote mode is no longer supported.

SIOS has ended support for the following Recovery Kits. They are discontinued and no longer supported in LifeKeeper for Linux v10.0.0.
• NEC iStorage StoragePathSavior
• Samba
• Postfix
• HULFT HUB Recovery Kit

Starting with v9.9.0, Quorum/Witness storage mode uses a pre-signed URL to access Amazon S3 objects (including S3 compatible objects).
As a result, s3:GetBucketLocation permission is additionally required and must be granted before starting LifeKeeper.

Starting in LifeKeeper for Linux v9.8.0 the Perl version that is included has been upgraded to Perl 5.32.1.
This may require changes to custom perl code. Refer to Perl 5.8.8 to Perl 5.32.1 Upgrade for details.

In keeping with industry best practices and announced with the release of v9.6.2, beginning with v9.7.0.
SIOS will no longer support new or existing configurations with NFS servers/clients on the same nodes as the SAP services when setting up an SAP system (also known as “loopback configuration”). Instead, we require using alternate configurations such as:*
• EFS in AWS
• Azure Premium File Shares with NFS
• Google NFS Share
• NFS as a separate cluster
