EMCMD . CREATEJOB <JobName> <Description> <FQDN Source> <DrvLetter1> <IP SourceReplication> <FQDN Target> <DrvLetter2> <IP Target for Replication><MirrorType> . . .
- Ensure the Mirror(s) are in a Mirroring state
To check the state of the mirror, use the command emcmd . getmirrorvolinfo
- Create your job from the command line using the following syntax:
EMCmd <Source IP> CREATEJOB <JobName> “Description” <Source FQDN> <Drive Letter> <Source IP> <Target FQDN> <Drive Letter> <Target IP> <MirrorType>
An example below with IP addresses and corresponding Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs)
200.200.200.1 = SYS1.test.com (Source)
200.200.200.2 = SYS2.test.com (Target)
EMCMD 200.200.200.1 CREATEJOB Vol.E “Job Description” SYS1.TEST.COM E 200.200.200.1 SYS2.TEST.COM E 200.200.200.2 S
If created correctly your output will reflect a GUID similar to that below:
ID = 657d43be-d2b7-4fc8-b3b6-62c71a49bbc7
The job will now be listed in the DataKeeper UI.
Creating a mirror manually also DOES NOT automatically create a job.
Only the “Create Job” action via the DataKeeper UI will create both.
