Overview

The Undersized VMs Dashboard (Not Available in SIOS iQ free edition) shows VMs that have repeatedly high utilization for either vCPU or vRAM (or both), and should be evaluated to provide additional resources recommended by SIOS iQ to avoid potential impact on the application.

The Dashboard is presented as a report with the capability to be filtered on time frame (Last 24 Hours, Last 7 Days, and Last 30 Days). Values for each VM listed on the dashboard are averages and maximums over the time frame selected.

The Undersized VMs Dashboard contains one table, with the following columns:

  • Virtual Machine – The name of the VM which is undersized.
  • Avg vCPU Utilization % – The average of all vCPU Utilization measurements in the time frame selected.
  • Max. vCPU Utilization % – The maximum vCPU Utilization measured during the time frame selected.
  • Current Total vCPU – The total number of vCPUs currently allocated to the VM.
  • Recommended Total vCPU – The total number of vCPUs SIOS iQ recommends should be allocated to the VM.
  • Avg vMem Utilization % – The average of all vMem Utilization measurements in the time frame selected.
  • Max. vMem Utilization % – The maximum vMem Utilization measured during the time frame selected.
  • Current Total GB vMem – The total vRAM currently allocated to the VM, measured in GB.
  • Recommended Total GB vMem – The total vRAM SIOS iQ recommends should be allocated to the VM, measured in GB.
